I purchased the pattern on eBay specifically so I could make one of these leaf pot holders for the Autumn-themed Flat Rate Box Swap. The pattern is on a page cut out of an old/vintage crochet magazine. The pattern calls for a rug yarn that is no longer available these days, so when I found some skeins of it at our local thrift store I was just thrilled! The skeins were vintage, yet unused and still had the original paper around them! How lucky could I get! Since then, I’ve purchased more of the vintage yarn on eBay, so I now have a decent stock of vintage rug yarn on hand for making more of these pot holders!
(I was supposed to embroider the leaf vines onto it, but I tried and couldn’t get it to look right, so decided to leave it vine-less).
